Films can tell us a lot about the country where they were made.

What have you learned about from

watching its movies.
Watching films represent an effective way of gather information and relaxation. In cinema or at
home I always enjoy a good film and I believe that films can tell me a lot about the country where
they were made and the following reasons will illustrate what I learnt from films.
First, Americans films like Lincoln show me an important part of American history and culture. I
was really impressed by Lincolns argument with his own cabinet on the decision to emancipate
the slaves and I understand why he is named The Great Emancipator. The Great Debaters film
give me a significant historical lesson about Black Americans had to 'fight' for their right to equality
and other film which elucidated a mystery about US is Wall Street: Money Never Sleep, this film
determine me to found more about The Big Crash and about brokers.
Second, Indian movies present perfectly Indian holidays like Feast of the Sun and the symbol of
love Taj Mahal I found that cricket is a national sport in India and Bollywood is like American
Hollywood. Wheat and rice are the staple food of the Indians and India is known for its variety of
vegetarian cuisines.
Finally, I discovered a lot about Mussulmen culture from Iranian films for example according to
religions rules alcohol is forbidden and traditions are followed strictly. Other fascinating aspect of
person culture is about eherezada, mythological queen and the storyteller of One Thousand and
One Nights. I was marked by the position of women in Iranian culture who is obligated to hide his
face.

In conclusion, films are veritable souse of information if we know how to select them because
violence or discrimination often appear in films.
