Dear C.E.O of Walmart, C. Douglas Mcmillion:

I am writing this letter about the concerns I have regarding the discrimination that is going on in your
workplace. Women need to be given the same advancements and opportunities that men at your
workplace are offered. To avoid future lawsuits, Walmart needs to offer equal pay and rightfully promote
women workers into higher working positions.

As the American Association of University Women claim, Female employees of Wal-Mart are denied
advancement and training opportunities, paid less than men for the same or comparable work, steered to
lower wage departments, subjected to a sexually hostile work environment and retaliated against when
they attempt to address sex discrimination. This proves the lack of respect and poor judgment made on
women who work at Walmart. The actions going on in Walmart are discriminating towards women and
are also illegal. As the Equal Pay Act says, Specifically, the EPA provides that employers may not pay
unequal wages to men and women who perform jobs that require substantially equal skill, effort and
responsibility, and that are performed under similar working conditions within the same establishment.

It would be important for women to be rightfully in higher position and to get paid equally for the purpose
of treating women equally. Women who work hard in your establishment would finally have a chance to
be in higher positions that they have worked so hard for. It is in the best interest of your female workers,
to work in a place that is fair and respectful to women.

Sincerely,
