People with periodontal diseases are 2 times more

likely to develop heart diseases & arterial narrowing.

Periodontal bacteria and plaque entering the
bloodstream through gums leads to clogging of
cardiac arteries and increases the risk of heart
attacks.
Dental plaque harbors a high number of respiratory
pathogens which, when aspirated increase the risk of
pneumonia, emphysema and chronic obstructive lung
disease, and are THE THIRD MOST COMMON CAUSE
OF DEATH.
Tooth loss decreases proper digestion, nutrition and
calcium uptake, which increases periodontal disease,
arthritis and osteoporosis.
Swollen gums, halitosis and poor oral hygiene
makes it more difficult for a diabetic to control their
blood sugar, thus increasing the risk of developing
pancreatic cancer by 63%.
Low to high grades of gum inflammation makes
the body release inflammatory chemicals which
are linked to erectile dysfunction, pre-term low
birth weight babies, hormonal imbalances, etc.
