Earth Science In The News

For this assignment each of you will be responsible for researching and reporting
to the class on a current Earth Science topic in the news. Presentations will be
held at the beginning of class and should last approximately 5 minutes. This
project is worth 60 pts.

Presentations should:
1. Last at least 5 min. No more than 7. > 6 pts
2. Include at least 2 visual components eg images, diagrams, videos. > 6 pts
3. Include a title page > 3 pts
4. Include a bibliography page > 3pts
5. Be about something Earth Science related > 12 pts

Presenters should:
1. Practice before presenting > 4 pts
2. Speak loudly? 4 pts
3. Do not read off of the slides > 4 pts
4. Have eye contact with your audience > 4 pts
5. Understand your content > 14 pts
