Free Partner Training & New LMS Platform Launch

FAQs listed below are designed to answer most of your Free Training or New LMS questions. Please review
this document prior to contacting Fortinet Training for Support. Topics are divided into the following categories:
1. Training = Free training on the new modularized FCNSA and FCNSP Classes
2. LMS = Learning Management System access
3. Payments = Pricing and payments

Training How do I access the FCNSA or FCNSP online training classes?
Online training classes in the Fortinet Learning Center are accessed by navigating to
www.fortinet.com/training. Once logged into the learning center, click Learning and Metrics
! Catalog ! Bundles (it is a tab).

Once in this location, you will see the FCNSA, FCNSP, and FCSA online module bundles.
Training What is included in the free classes for partners?
For real-time online classes, registration and access to the class is included.

For FCNSA and FCNSP online classes, this includes access to the online modules (video,
quiz and PDF) and subsequent access to the proctored labs. Completion of the online
modules is required before being allowed to register for the proctored labs.

Certification exam vouchers are not included in the online pricing but may be purchased
directly through the Fortinet Learning Center, through the reselling channel, or through any
Authorized Training Center.
Training Ive passed an FCNSA (or FCNSP) module test, downloaded the PDF and watched the
video but the video still says in progress in the Fortinet Learning Center. How can I
get the video changed to complete so I can register for a proctored lab?
The videos in both the FCNSA Prep and FCNSP Prep series are SCORM-compliant and as
such the Fortinet Learning Center will only credit you with completing the video when it has
been watched in its entirety.

Since you have completed the other portions of the module, our recommendation is to
launch the video, then play it from the beginning to the end, then close the video window in
your browser. In most cases this will resolve this issue.
Training I took the 201 class in the past and now when I try to take the FCNSP Proctored Lab, I
get an error saying I need to take the FCNSA Proctored Lab.
Since historical class data has not been imported into the Fortinet Learning Center, there is
not record of you taking the 201 class prerequisite in the past. Please email
training@fortinet.com with details on when and where you took the 201 class previously and
ask to be enrolled into the FCNSP Proctored lab.

A member of our team will research your situation and work with you to resolve it on a case-
by-case basis.

Training Where do I find the Fortinet Certified Sales Associate Training?
Once you have accessed the Fortinet Learning Center, click Learning and Metrics !
Catalog ! Bundles Tab ! then search for Fortinet Certified Sales Associate or FCSA
and the results will direct you to the appropriate class.
Training Which classes are included free for partners to take?
Online classes are free and do not require payment to enroll or complete. Classes taught in
a live classroom must be paid for at the current partner pricing.
Training I do not see the 201 or 301 classes on the schedule any longer. Where did they go?
In an effort to align our class offerings with Fortinet Products, we are transitioning away from
course numbers. In the new LMS and course catalog, the 201 class is now the FCNSA
Prep Class while the 301 is now FCNSP Prep. Additionally, you will see that SKUs on the
Fortinet price lists have changed as well.
Training Are the online versions of the your classes going to be offered in another language in
addition to English?
For those who wish to take a class in a language other than English, Fortinet has partnered
with over 60 Authorized Training Centers worldwide who offer our classes in several local
languages. Please visit the Authorized Training Center Page on the legacy learning
management system called The Campus for a list of current training partners.
Training Why cant I register for a FCNSA Proctored lab?
Completing all of the online modules and their associated quizzes is a prerequisite for the
proctored lab and once this content has been completed, you will be allowed to register for
the proctored lab session of your choice.
Training Why cant I register for a FCNSP Proctored lab?
Completing all of the online modules and their associated quizzes is a prerequisite for the
proctored lab and once this content has been completed, you will be allowed to register for
the proctored lab session of your choice.

Additionally, the FCNSA proctored lab is a prerequisite for the FCNSP proctored lab and
must be completed prior to registering for the FCNSP proctored lab.
Training Fortinet is now offering free training for partners. Why would they want to continue
taking classes from an ATC?
ATCs offer significant value to our partners of which the largest is delivering classes in local
language. Fortinet delivers almost all training classes in English while ATCs deliver classes
in localized languages throughout the world.

Many people who do not natively speak English will want to continue taking classes through
our ATC network.

Free training for partners is also limited to online classes and many people prefer to take
classes in a traditional classroom format.

Finally, several ATCs have a value-added relationship with customers and those customers
will feel more comfortable taking classes from someone they know and have a solid
business relationship with.

Training I met all of the requirements and passed the FCNSP Exam but have not received my
Support ERC Code. How to I obtain it?
A personal support ERC code is a benefit of the partner program. The following criteria
must be met to receive an ERC code: the individual must successfully pass both the
FCNSA and the FCNSP exams & the individuals company must meet the FCNSP
requirements for its Partner level. If these criteria are met, a PIN code will be sent by our
support team 3-4 weeks following the successful passing of the FCNSP exam

If it has been longer than that, please contact your local Fortinet Channel Program
representative so they can research this issue for you.
Training Why do we have to pay for Exam Vouchers if the online training is free?
Online training classes and associated lab sessions are now free for participating partners
while the FCNSA and FCNSP exam vouchers are not.

With the free classes, anyone who is an employee of a partner or reseller may take the
class however, not all people at the reseller may need/want to take the exam. Thus, the
principal owners at each partner can determine who on their team will sit for the exams.

Exam vouchers may be purchased directly through the Fortinet Learning Center, through
the reselling channel, or through any Authorized Training Center.
Payments How do I pay for training?
Training may be purchased directly through the eCommerce component in the Fortinet
Learning Center or via PO and the distribution channel.
Payments How can I pay for a class in the Fortinet Learning Center?
Training may be purchased through any reselling partner via purchase order or through the
integrated credit card eCommerce system in the Fortinet Learning Center.
Payments How will I see partner pricing in the system?
For online classes, partners will not see pricing and the shopping cart will not be displayed.
Partners will be allowed to directly enroll for any appropriate class.

For live classes, the shopping cart will be activated and the appropriate partner price will be
shown next to the list price. During the registration process, the shopping cart will be
initiated and you will have the option to enter your credit card information in the system.
Once payment has been complete, the system will automatically enroll you in the
appropriate course.
Payments Ive a partner portal account and I just created an account on the Fortinet Learning
Center. Why do I not see the correct partner pricing?

It typically takes 1-2 business days for your account to be recognized as a partner. Please
refer to the how do I get a partner portal account question in this document for more
information.
Payments If I need to get a refund, who do I contact?
Email training@fortinet.com with the details of your transaction (receipt would be best) and
a member of our team will contact you with more information.
Payments When paying with a credit card, where is my credit card information stored?
The Fortinet Learning Center uses Authorize.net for all credit card transactions. Once the
user opens the shopping cart they are transferred over to authorize.net and all transaction
details (credit card numbers) are maintained by authorize.net.

LMS How do I access the Fortinet Learning Center (new online learning system)?
The Fortinet Learning Center can be accessed by navigating to: www.fortinet.com/training.
LMS How do I authenticate into the Fortinet Learning Center?
Your relationship with Fortinet will determine how you authenticate into the Fortinet
Learning Center. Partners will authenticate via the Fortinet Partner Portal. There is a link to
the portal on www.fortinet.com/training. Note: if you cannot access the Partner Portal,
please review the FAQ describing that situation.
LMS I do not have a Fortinet Partner Portal Account. How can I obtain one?
Navigate to the Fortinet Partner Portal at https://partners.fortinet.com/ and request an
account. You must use your primary work address when requesting an account.

Once you submit your request in the partner portal, it is automatically forwarded to the
primary account holders at your company. That individual must then log into the Fortinet
Partner Portal and approve your account request. Until this individual at your company
approves your account request, your account will not be created.

Once the individual at your company has approved your account in the Fortinet Partner
Portal, it will take 1-2 business days for the partner and the Fortinet Learning Center to
synchronize and your account to become active.
LMS I had an account on the old system, why is the Fortinet Learning Center is not
accepting my password?
The answer to this question depends upon your relationship with Fortinet as is described
below. Partners will authenticate into the new system via the Fortinet Partner Portal. Note
that in some cases, it may take up to 1-2 business days for the two systems to synchronize.
LMS I recently passed a certification exam at Pearson VUE but do not see my a record of
this in my online transcript. When will the system reflect this change?
Certification data is not currently loaded into the Fortinet Learning Center. We anticipate this
data will be imported by the end of June.

Once it has been imported into we receive updates from Pearson VUE on a bi-monthly
basis. Depending on when you completed the exam and when the next report is delivered
to Fortinet, it may take up to three weeks before your transcript is updated.
LMS I recently passed the FCNSP Exam when can I expect to receive my certificate?
Although you may take the FCNSA and FCNSP exams in any order, obtaining a FCNSA is
a prerequisite for obtaining a FCNSP. If you have not completed the FCNSA, then you will
not receive a FCNSP certificate.

If it has been more than 3-4 weeks since you passed both your FCNSA and FCNSP exams,
please email training@fortinet.com and provide details regarding your exam so a member
of our team can research your situation.

LMS Im a partner but do not see the appropriate class pricing in the Fortinet Learning
Center. How can I get this changed so I can see the appropriate pricing?
There are three steps to troubleshoot your partner account status:
1. The likeliest reason for you not seeing the appropriate partner class pricing is
because you are not identified as a partner in the Fortinet Learning Center. In order
to be identified as a partner, you must access the learning center via the Fortinet
Partner Portal as the two systems communicate via SSO.
2. If you do not have access to the Fortinet Partner Portal, please read the FAQ on
how to obtain access. Once you have a Partner Portal account, it may take 1-2
business days for the learning center synchronize and recognize your new account.
3. If you do not see the correct pricing after completing these two steps, then email
training@fortinet.com and a member of our team will research your issue.
LMS Where can I find a record of previous Fortinet classes Ive taken?
Historical class data has not been imported from the previous learning management system
into the Fortinet Learning Center. We anticipate this data to be imported sometime in July.
Until the historical data has been imported, please follow the link from
www.fortinet.com/training.
