resistance changes.
2. A metallic cylinder is elongated to four times its length and then cut into two pieces. Those two pieces are stacked
over one another parallel to each other. Find the resistance of the combination if original resistance was R.
3. When two resistors are kept in series and in parallel then value of equivalent resistance is 50 and 12 respectively. Find
value of each resistance.
4. Two identical resistors are connected in series and then in parallel. Find the ratio of heat generated in the two cases.
5. Considering the circuit shown, find the potential of the battery if ammeter reading is 2A.
6. Considering the circuit shown, answer the following:
i) Ratio of current through 2ohm when switch is on and when it is off.
ii) Ratio of current through the battery in the two cases.
iii) ratio of power delivered by the battery in the two cases.

7. Answer the following pertinent to the adjacent figure :
i) What is the potential difference across R or 3 ohm.
ii) What is the value of R.
iii) What will happen to the power delivered by the battery if the value of R is increased.
iv) If the switch is closed then calculate current through the circuit and power delivered by the battery.
8. When the switch is closed, find the ratio of intensity of the bulbs.
