You are on page 1of 9

The following pages contain selected problems from throughout the college math curriculum,

intended to provide a general overview of key concepts considered essential for success in AP
Calculus AB. Instructions for completing the work are as follows:
1. Do all of the problems on separate college-ruled paper.
2. Your work should be completed in a neat and organized manner.
3. Graphing problems should be done neatly.
4. Graph paper is recommended but not required.
5. All work should be completed and brought with you on the first day of class.
6. Two days will be spent answering questions related to the problems in this
packet assignment.
7. On the third day, all your work is due and you will take an assessment to
determine your preparation for AP Calculus AB. It is comprised of 40 multiple
choice questions covering a broad range of topics you should be familiar with
prior to taking AP Calculus AB.
8. Your work and the assessment described in the previous item will be part of
your first semester grade, so it is important that you make every effort to
complete the work thoroughly, get help as needed, ask questions upon your
return, and do your best on the first assessment.
9. Any work you complete in this packet can be turned in the day of the
assessment, and may be factored into your overall first semester grade.
10. Consider attending Logans AP Boot Camp for help and insight into
completing the summer assignment and preparing for AP Calculus.
11. If you have any questions, you are welcome to email Mr. Prucha during the
summer. He will do his best to get back to you.
12. Good luck!
