Key Product Enhancements in InTouch 10.1
InTouch 10.1 delivers a brand new Trending control for runtime and historical
data, compatible with real-time data, Wonderware Historian and the older InTouch
history logs;
o Using relative referencing the Trend Client can be configured on a template.
o In Addition to providing historical date the ArchestrA Trend Client Control can
also provide real-time data.
To better visualize alarm and event information, InTouch 10.1 offers a new
ArchestrA Symbol-based alarm component, extending and enhancing the
functionality of the existing components in the ArchestrA environment;
o A new column is available that will show the actual current value of points in
the Galaxy or values available from the local WindowViewer (tags and remote
references).

ArchestrA Symbol thumbnail previews

InTouchs Touch Pushbuttons animation links (Discrete Value, Action, Show Window,
Hide Window) are now enabled for ArchestrA Symbols
Dynamic Symbol Redirection between multiple data points for a single ArchestrA
Symbol
Wonderware InTouch 10.1 provides expanded support for Windows Vista, including
the ability to run in a secure manner with User Account Control (UAC) enabled;
InTouch 10.1 applications can be with a few clicks documented as HTML, complete
with process graphics, enabling users to automatically produce an as-built
description of the application;
New views of real-time and historical data and alarms mean that detailed yet
customized insight is available to all aspects of your application, not matter how
small or large your deployment;
Usability and Engineering Improvements
o Script Debugging and Tracing enhancements now window name and key
script interaction can be logged automatically
o Editor Persistence improvements
Enhanced functionality for International users
o ArchestrA Symbols support for language switching including ArchestrA Symbol
Editor preview of translated strings. Enabling support for language switching
is vital for users who need a single application which can be used by
operators in differing locales. Making use of standard applications and objects
globally greatly reduces engineering and user training time, as well as making
support easier.

Data Change Event Logging function The ability to manually generate data change
event notifications will improve the ease of generating audit information, especially
for users in regulated industries.
InTouch for Terminal Services
Functionality of InTouch for Terminal Services has been incorporated into the single InTouch
10.1 installation CD. InTouch Terminal Server Failover Licensing Prior to InTouch 10.1,
Wonderware offered a second server license at a discount (20% of list price) for users
wishing to use a system as a redundant standby system for terminal server clients. Since
users typically are using such licenses in load balancing scenarios, Wonderware has decided
to change the terms of the Terminal Server license to permit this. No ordering or part
number changes are required for this license change.
InTouch 10.1 is supported on Windows XP SP3 and Windows Server 2003 SP2 operating
systems.
