The Ford Institutes 10th Anni versary at the University of

Pittsburgh

A results-driven business leader with a record of success, Paul Iaderosa
has held executive positions with various manufacturing, distribution, and
technology-related businesses, most recently serving as senior vice
president with HD Supply. Paul Iaderosa obtained his master of public and
international affairs from the University of Pittsburgh.

As one of the oldest four-year universities in the nation, the University of
Pittsburgh has an extensive legacy of giving back to the community. For
the past 50 years, the university has expanded its efforts to promote social
responsibility on a broader scale through the Graduate School of Public
and International Affairs (GSPIA). As one of the only three schools in the
nation holding membership in the Association of Professional Schools of
International Affairs, the GSPIA strives to provide students with the skills
and resources to build a better world, both at home and abroad. To this
end, the GSPIA established the Ford Institute in 2004 to adopt one of the
first human security majors in the country, and earlier this year, the
university celebrated the institutes 10th anniversary.

The Ford Institute has been instrumental in developing policy-oriented
research to preserve the safety of civilians on an international scale.
Research projects successfully launched since the Ford Institutes
inception include publications on the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf
of Mexico and sociopolitical models built upon the Albright-Cohen
Genocide Prevention Task Force.
