7SJ61, 7SJ62: information concerning the compatibility between device hardware and firmware
as well as firmware and parameter set

Firmware (FW) V4.7x and higher runs exclusively on devices with device version /FF. Delivered
devices with FW below V4.70 (device version /EE or below, e.g. V4.64) cannot be updated to FW
V4.7x. Furthermore new devices delivered with FW V4.7x or higher cannot be downgraded to
older FW versions (e.g. V4.46).

FW V4.7x and higher is compatible to parameter sets of version V4.50 and V4.60. Such
parameter sets (V4.5 and V4.6) can be loaded without any change (without parameter set
upgrade) into devices with FW V4.7 or higher (for further information also concerning the
resulting functionality in case of mixing new firmware with old parameter set please contact your
SIEMENS sales partner).
