Initial ideas

Genre of magazine

I would like to do a rock/alternative music magazine similar to kerrang because I recognise
that it has a well-established market and I think that it would sell well alongside other rock
music magazines.
I have decided to do this type of magazine because I can take ideas from other magazines
such as NME and Metal Hammer to base my ideas on
Target audience

The target audience for this magazine will be 16 - 30 up to whatever age as there are rock
music lovers of all ages and people younger than 16 dont really tend to like this sort of
music.
Ive also decided to make this my target audience as there is already a very large following
for rock magazines within this age group and I think my magazine would fit into this
category.
