History
The game of Tennis was created by British
citizen, Major Walter C. Wingfield in 1873. The first
tournament was played at Wimbledon in England in
1877. While Wimbledon is still considered the most
famous and prestigious tennis tournament in the
World, the Davis cup and the Wightman Cup
tournaments are also important annual events.

Scoring
A tennis game is always started with a serve,
in which the opponent must return the ball to the
other player without hitting the net. The first point
in a game of tennis is 15 points, the second is 30
points and the third is 40 points. The fourth point is
called the game point, and thats the point you
need to win.

Serving
In tennis, there are four types of ways that you can serve the ball and
they are the flat serve, the slice serve, the kick serve and the American twist.
The slice is the most common and effective serve, but all four serves demand
a controlled toss and good follow-through. To serve properly, the player raises
the racquet back to a point where it reaches over their right shoulder. Their
elbow is kept straight in the air, while your stance is straight up, not bent at
the waist. The ball is then tossed into the air and as it is coming back down,
the server moves forward, striking the ball, driving it over the net toward the
opponent.
