Task: To create a 3-5 minute presentation/skit about your assigned colony.
Presentation must answer/include, at minimum, the following questions:
Where is your settlement located? (Find a map(s) for presentation)
What push and/or pull factors influenced the development of your groups colony? (What reasons did
the colonists have to go to that particular colony?)
What type of economic/social ideals did your colony include? (Logging, farming, industry, religion, etc.)
Your presentation must:
Include all group members in the research and presentation.
Include several visuals such as maps, drawings, or pictures
Be based on accurate information. (No Wikipedia)
Include MLA citations for the website/book used. (Check Mr. Haaks website or easybib.com)
Your presentation/skit can include:
PowerPoint
Poster
Trifold
Skits/props/costumes




Important Note: Be prepared to evaluate other groups presentations and answer questions about your
settlement following your presentation!
