    Major boost to clinics
    A REDEVELOPMENT at the Women's and Chil-
    dren's Hospital will include new pulmonary med-
    icine clinics and gene therapy laboratories.
    Construction group Hansen Yuncken has won the
    $24 million Gilbert Building redevelopment tender.
    The funding has come from the Women's and
    Children's Hospital Foundation, the McGuinness
    McDermott Foundation, and the State and Federal
    Governments.
    Health Minister John Hill said a cure for cystic
    fibrosis would be a priority at the gene therapy labs.
