An OCR scanner contains special software that can be used to scan a document or
piece of text. It can read handwriting and edit it. This device will be used in banks or
police stations when reading checks or forms.
An MICR (Magnetic Ink Character Recognition) device is a device that allow data to
be recovered from checks such as bank codes and account files. This device will be
used by backs to read customers checks.


A laser printer would be god to use because it can contain a lot of paper and print high volumes
of paper very quickly. It can also print in extremely high quality. They are very clever devices and
are also very cheap to use as one ink cartilage can print up to 6,000 pages.
However, they are very expensive to buy even if cheap to maintain. Also, they possess
toxins that have been known to cause health hazards in office environments making them a very
big risk to the entire company.
