The movie presents the story of Shakespeare in Love. As the story begins, William Shakespeare (Joseph Fiennes) has got writers block that must complete the play for theatre soon. When he looks for his muse, hes got in love with a noble woman, Viola de Lesseps (Gwyneth Paltrow). Then, his love is performed in theatre namely Romeo and Juliet. It is a transformation of comedy with style of Shakespeare tragedy. Next, the audition for Romeo character begins. Shakespeare tries to look for that character. Thomas Kent is joined in the role and it impresses Shakespeare. He likes Kents act. Actually, Kent is Viola de Lesseps. She just pretends as a young man in order to realize her dream to be actor in stage. But the main problem is the women are not permitted on the stage at the time. Because of her dream, she acts like man by wearing tights and moustache. Then, Shakespeare discovers the true identity of Kent. It makes them have a forbidden love. There are strong parallels in this play, Romeo and Juliet. They are in passionate of secret affair. In the balcony scene including the act 2, it blows up the romance of them. In the end, Shakespeare finishes his writing sooner because of Viola. He gets benefit of it. On the contrary, both Shakespeare and Viola are not professed seriously until the end of this movie. This movie portrays more about love in case of sexton express their love rather than marriage. At the time, there is no marriage. Marriage just means like status or preserving properties. Its only name. Sex is more fulfill and easier. Thats vey danger and the movie tries to massage it. It notes the marriage, sex, and love takes part.
