THE APPRENTICE

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are currently undertaking a unit of work titled THE APPRENTICE. This unit is designed to
highlight the various changes and stages we go through in life.
One of the most significant stages of life includes our career choices.
As part of this work the students of Year 8 will be investigating the career of their choice. They will also
be given the opportunity to investigate and experience careers in the real world by undertaking a
WORK EXPERIENCE DAY
during the week of October 13 October 17
WEEK 2 of TERM 4

This is where we need your support.

We would love to be able to make this experience as relevant as possible and would appreciate your
support by allowing your child to spend a day observing and assisting you in your work place.

If you are able to accommodate this request we would appreciate you completing the forms below and
returning them to school as soon as possible.

Students unable to find a placement will be accommodated at school but being working with a
parent/guardian is by far the most desirable and worthwhile experience.
