CALL FOR PAPERS
The Latin American and Iberian Law and Economics Association (ALACDE) is pleased to announce its XIX annual conference to be hold on June 13-14 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
ALACDE law and economics annual conference is a high profile academic venue in which the latest developments related to law and economics are presented in thematic and plenary sessions. The annual conference aims to gather the top scholars from Latin American and Iberian, and become the scenario where they can present their research and current work.
Submissions
Each year, this conference constitutes itself in a working space for academics and practitioners of law and economics to present their research or working papers. Any interested person in submiting a paper can do it on any of the official conference languages (English, Spanish and Portuguese) Arial 12. The research and working papers must be on a topic related to law and economic, with particular attention, but not limited, to

Authors must send their abstracts no later than April 6th 2015. Once accepted, the authors must submit the final version of their paper no later than May 31 st 2015. The final version of the papers submitted will be available in our website.
The papers submitted will be evaluated by the members of the ALACDE scientific committee, who will decide which papers will be accepted for presentation in the 19 th conference.
As usual, we encourage young researchers, no older than thirty years old by December 30 th ,2014, to participate by submitting short papers, no longer than ten pages, on one of the topics mentioned above. The committee will evaluate the submissions based on their originality, academic relevance, quality and clarity. These papers, once accepted, will be presented in a special session for short papers during the conference. The oral presentation is schedule for a duration of eight minutes and three slides. The rest of the requirements in the present call for papers applies to the short papers submissions.
Awards
Selected papers for the conference can run for the following awards: Robert Cooter ALACDE Awards for Scholarships on law and economics Edgardo Buscaglia ALACDE Empirical Research in law and economics Awards ALACDE Poster Prize for Young Researchers
Members of the ALACDE board of directors nor of the local organizing committee are allowed to run for the wards. The awards will be granted to the papers which are based on a law and economics approach. The scientific committee will decide which papers will receive the awards.

Important deadlines
November 3 rd 2014: The call for papers for the 19th ALACDE conference will be published.
April 6 th 2015: Deadline for submitting the abstracts.
April 20 th 2015: Authors will be informed on the acceptance of their proposals.
May 31 st 2015: Deadline for the submission of the final version of the papers.
