Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s),
Welcome to the 2014-2015 school year! It is an honor and a privilege to be your son or
daughter's teacher. With your assistance, I look forward to helping your child learn and achieve
great academic success.
Your child is enrolled in a unique class that allows them to self-pace his or her learning through
the online tools Edgenuity and/or Schoology.
Your childs grade will come from his or her work in the online class. They will be able to
actively monitor their status and get instant feedback on their progress. Due to online grading
system, student grades will be uploaded to Parent Connect at 3, 6 and 9 week grading
periods. Monitoring your students progress is important. If you provide your email
address on the student contract, I will set you up to receive weekly progress reports.
Your child should have shown you the course syllabus. Please read it and then sign the student
contract along with your child and have them return it to me immediately. This is necessary for
your child to continue within the program. Thank you in advance. Once again, it is an honor to
be your son or daughter's teacher.
