Our group uses Google doc for collaborations in the previews
activities. t embeds the advantages of storage and instant sharing
of text and multimedia. t also serves as platform that any group
mates are able to put ideas on it anytime! without the need to wait
for others to be there. "e thought of using "hatsapps initially!
which has the same advantages we need as Google doc. #owever!
we found it di$cult for speed and correct typing.
used to do lots of group wor% during my degree study! and almost
every time we have to group and sit together for discussion. t was
ine$cient as it was not easy for all people available.
One the ama&ing point found is that don't need to install any
software! except a google chrome browser! in order to use the
Google doc. remember not long before! need to pay for (icrosoft
"ord in order to ma%e documents. )he allowances on the elasticity
to use software greatly help to utili&e resources in an on*demand
fashion +,inh! -ee! .iyato! "ang! /0112.
3esides! found that cloud*computing on education ma%es use of
the concept of mobile learning +Rao! 4asidhar! Kumar! /01/2. t
enables the collaboration held outside classroom! in anytime any
places. n my school! there is sta5 development day! which re6uires
teachers to sit together and discuss on some issues. )eachers stic%
to the discussion topics only within those hours! and then it ends.
"ith the use of Google ,oc! or other cloud*computing technology!
school may re6uire teachers to %eep on their discussion and share
later on.
t can be foreseen that clouding computer is a global trend not only
on education! but also other business aspect. 7long with this!
various %inds of cloud*computing technologies aimed at di5erent
services will be raised too +8ou%! /0092. 7s an end user! we should
e6uip with necessary information literacy to di5erentiate and
choose suitable technologies that :t on you.
