To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing this letter to apply for a position in NASA, in a response to your advertisement for
Geophysicist. I had prolifically read about NASA, and there are many things about it that sparked my
interests. In my opinion, success eventuates from a good start. Therefore, I wanted to be sure that my first
job would give me the best opportunities for advanced practice, ideal workplace and working with
different experts in my field.

I am very interested this position because NASA is renowned for providing the best technology and
working environment and recruiting the most well-educated scientists. I am a qualified candidate for this
position because I have a great passion and a very deep academic knowledge about geophysical
background. I have a PhD degree in geophysics with studies revolving around mathematics, geology,
chemistry, and physics. I have the ability to work effectively in a team or independently, and I am capable
of handing my work on time under pressure. I enjoyed conveying my ideas to other people and working
with clients. My 3-year experience as an apprentice in MIT has sharpened my deftness in the geophysical
field. I am very familiar with sophisticated equipments in the lab and out in the fields. I believe that these
qualities will not only demonstrate my competence for this position but also promise the positive impacts
and innovations that I will bring for NASA.

I will be welcomed to have a personal interview to discuss how my potentials could benefit your company
at any time or place. You can contact me through my phone number: (+44) 8765 4321. I will be in
Washington, D.C until October 31, 2014. Thank you for taking your time considering my credentials.

Sincerely yours,

Hoang Nguyen
