Daily Motion of Planets: Table showing the
differences between fast, slow and average
movements for each planet in a day, from
Lilly's "Christian Astrology."
Geocentric Speed of Revolution This is table showing the time it takes each planet to make a complete
tour of the Zodiac, as seen from Earth, average motion in a day or a year, and speeds in each of the signs.
The Path of the Planets around the Sun is an ellipse rather than a circle. This was one of the discoveries of
Kepler in his Laws of Planetary Motion. It was well known the Astrologers that the planets moved faster in
some signs than others and they had developed a number of terms defining the relationships between the
signs. The number of days in Zodiac sign varies. The Earth is moving fastest when the Sun appears to rise
in the signs of "Short ascension".
The Speeds also seem to vary from the perspective on Earth when a planet goes Retrograde.

Note that Saturn is WEAKER when it is faster, the others are stronger at higher speeds.
To be considered fast or slow, a planet needs to be significantly distant from the average speed.

Scientific Prejudice: It's not easy when an individual, no matter how distinguished,
challenges the status quo, the commonly held assumptions. This is one of the worst hurdles
in science today - for controversial results the answer should be "How could that happen?"
rather than destruction of the career of the scientist. Here we examine a few cases where
the ostracized scientist was ultimately proved correct after years of hardship.
