Kristin Schumacher-Smith has worked/volunteered with our T.E.A.M.21 After-school and
summer program in the Wyoming Public Schools. She has worked as a group leader from 9/12/11 7/23/13, and then again 4/21/14 7/24/14. In this role she has created and implemented academic enriching activities for students at the Elementary level all the way up to the Intermediate level, (5 th and 6 th grade). These activities would include the arts, P.E., character education, S.T.E.M., literacy, math, life skills, and nutrition. Many of the students that she has worked with are considered at-risk academically, and has provided homework help in our program. She has also volunteered with our program starting 2/4/14-4/17/14 and then again 9/17/14- present. While volunteering she provides support for the staff that day. This may mean working with a smaller group of students during an activity, redirecting students while the group leader is giving directions, or helping students with the activity.
