absence from compulsory education


Truancys statistic increase year by year.
The people influenced by television programme
and movies
Beside the pupil found to have committed lewd
act and criminal activities.
Need related party to counter truancys problem

To investigate what the school pupil
usually do during truancy
To identify why school pupil not
interested going to school
To recommend how to overcome
truancy among school pupil



Questionnaire
The questionnaire is designed to define the
causes of truancy also decide suitable
punishment for students. The questionnaire
consist of 13 questions that is distributed to
one secondary school which is Sekolah
Menengah Kebangsaan Seri Kundang. A
total of 40 students were asked to complete
the survey and they agreed.





Based on the findings of the report, the following conclusion can be made.

Firstly, truancy can be described is any intentional unauthorized or illegal
absence from compulsory education.
Secondly, not have an interest in that particular subject or they do not
understand what the teacher teaches is the main cause of truancy during
school.
Thirdly, others reason only contribute small part to the causes of truancy
due to due to peer pressure, the lack of parental guidance and attraction
from the cyber caf or video arcades.
Fourth




It is recommend that:-

Provide an effective school law for reduces any problem at school
especially truancy matters. Increase program to attract students to school
like government do mural contest lately.

Teachers need to be taught on the skills of teaching to make class more
interesting and make the classroom as places of enjoying and learning.

Parents also must play a role as parents and always give advice and moral
support to them .

Police and government should increase the awareness of truancy. The
police officer also should be given more power to arrest and may remove
a child believed to be absent from a school without authority to that
school
