Je peux compter jusqu 1000 en Franais (I can count to 1000 in French)
Since students have been doing very well on their weekly number dictation and are getting
comfortable writing the numbers, we will be asking them to read numbers to us in French.
This will be done on an individual basis throughout the week.
We will continue to review addition strategies to help us with the mastery of our facts.
- Doubles plus one (6+7 =think 6+6+1) or doubles minus one (6+7= think 7+7-1)
- Doubles plus two (6+8 =think 6+6+2) or doubles minus two (6+8 =think 8+8-2)
- Making 10 (8 + 2 = 10)
- Property of zero (0 + any number = the number)
- Related facts 6 + 3 is the same as 3 + 6
