to reflect on behavior as a vital component to achieving the schools
mission while maintaining a highly productive classroom for learning.

The C!HART HOUSE

What it is:
1. A room for students to go and reflect about their behavior.
2. A room for students to wait for disciplinary action in a
dignified setting.
3. A room occupied by licensed staff that allows teachers to
send a student who refuses to engage in classroom
learning while acting in a disruptive manner.
4. A place for students to receive a consequence for their
disruptive classroom behavior in a dignified place,
facilitated by a caring professional while engaging in
restitution.
What it is not:
1. A consequence for nuisance behavior.
2. A place to send students as a threat. You better get to
work or you are going to be sent to the C!HART House.
