As an Athletic Training major, I understand the importance of the management, rehabilitation, and

most importantly, the prevention of injuries. At this time, I am an Athletic Training Student of
Manchester University with the intention of graduating in May 2015. I plan to sit for the BOC of Athletic
Training to obtain my certification during the time slots of March and April. Besides the role of Athletic
Training Student, I have been involved in several activities on campus and in clinical assignments where I
had the opportunity to connect with Manchester University Athletes in the care and rehabilitation of
their injuries. With my Athletic Training experience at Manchester University, it will enable me to use my
personal abilities, complemented by my athletic training experience, to tend to their physical needs.
Being a varsity, four year starter of Manchester University Womens Soccer, it has placed me in
situations where I am faced with my own injuries. I have been actively involved with Certified Athletic
Trainers as they evaluated, treated, and rehabilitated my injuries. These same techniques that have
worked for me, I have implemented in my own learning and care. I can not only relate to Athletic
Training on an education/clinical level, but on a personal level because of my experience.
