Unit 5: Disillusion, Defiance, and Discontent
Statement of Purpose: This summative assessment is to monitor student understanding
of the reading Dust Tracks on the Road by Zora Neale Hurson. There are 25 points
possible on this assessment. Because the information on this assessment will be useful
to students when writing the Comparison-and-Contrast Essay being assigned in the next
unit, students have the opportunity to make any necessary corrections, resubmit the
corrected assessment to the teacher, and have the assessment re-graded.
