Join one of our steam trains at Kidderminster


for your journey to Arley. At Arley the children,
and the grown-ups, will have the thrill of
meeting Father Christmas in his grotto.
A present for fare-paying children completes
the experience before your steam train
arrives to take you back to Kidderminster.
Whats included:

Outward travel is in a guaranteed seat at a train time of
your choice and return is by any train. Trains return at
frequent intervals from Arley. Also included is a present
for every fare-paying child between 1 15 years.

before your booked departure time. Trains will call at Bewdley on the
return journey, where passengers may alight to visit this attractive
riverside town with its Christmas tree, lights and decorations. This is
not possible if travelling to Arley on the last two trains of the day.

Father Christmas will visit every child on the train,
giving out gifts to each fare-paying child and posing
for photographs.

Celebrate the start of the Christmas season with a steam train
journey along the Severn Valley from Kidderminster to Highley
and return. Father Christmas will visit every child in their seat
giving out gifts and posing for photographs.

Christmas Carol Trains

Take an evening journey by diesel train to The Engine House, our


Visitor Centre at Highley. Join the train at Kidderminster and, in the
company of The New Dimensional Experience Choir, take part in
the carol singing.

Whats included:
Return travel from Kidderminster to Highley and
admission to our Visitor Centre. Community carol singing,
a mince pie and a glass of warming punch are also included
(non-alcoholic drink is available). Other light snacks and
a limited bar service are also available.

Departure time from Kidderminster: 7.30pm

refurbished private carriage, is available
for hire for that very special Christmas
celebration or an original Christmas gift.

and displays before taking your seat for a three-course

After a leisurely lunch, your train will be waiting to take you on

Trains operate between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth from
Boxing Day to January 4th 2015 inclusive. The Engine House,
our Visitor Centre at Highley, is also open throughout this

The King & Castle is popular with our
locals, which tells you something!
Sit back with a pint of one of a range

The Valley Suite is our comfortable
licensed restaurant on the station concourse serving
great food to eat in or take away. Arrive early as its a great
place for breakfast at the start of your day.

Bridgnorth
The Railwaymans Arms. Right on the platform
and full of atmosphere, a good place to meet
with friends for a glass or two from a selection
of real ales. Also serves a range of pub snacks.
The Station Tea Room serves hot and cold
meals, snacks and drinks to eat in or take away.

charge of 5.00 per booking.
Refunds or exchanges will only be

Access for the less able

We are pleased to welcome visitors with mobility


difficulties. Some of our trains have specially adapted
carriages. Ramps, which permit access for wheelchairs to our
trains, are available at all stations mentioned in this brochure.
Please note, however, that due to the age and design of our
dining carriages it is NOT possible for wheelchair users to
remain in their wheelchairs whilst dining. On dining services
wheelchairs may be stored in the Guards Van.
For all of the services mentioned in this brochure please inform
our staff, at the time of booking, if you have a person in your
group with mobility or other difficulties.

How to findus

We recommend that, where possible, you arrive by


public transport. This is particularly recommended
when travelling on our Santa Steam Specials.
By train: London Midland trains from Stratford and
Dorridge via Birmingham (Snow Hill and Moor Street) call at
Kidderminster where the stations are adjacent. Trains from
Worcester also call at Kidderminster.
Chiltern Railways services from London Marylebone,
Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire connect
with London Midland trains to Kidderminster at Birmingham
(Moor Street and Snow Hill).
From Wolverhampton or Birmingham (New Street), and from
other locations nationally, change at Smethwick (Galton Bridge)
for services to Kidderminster.

timetables for further details.
By road: Kidderminster Station (DY10 1QX) is situated on
Comberton Hill, the A448 Kidderminster Bromsgrove road,
and is signposted from Kidderminster ring road. We are
signposted from the M42 westbound. From the M5 southbound
leave at J3 and take the A456 to Kidderminster. From the M5
northbound leave at J6 and take the A449 to Kidderminster.
Look out for the brown tourist signs and the little white engine!
