Exeter Cathedral welcomes visitors throughout the year.


Organisers wishing to arrange group visits should contact
the Visitors Office to discuss their requirements. Guided
tours in several languages, specialist tours, private
evening tours and refreshments can be booked.
A variety of educational activities for groups from schools,
colleges and universities can also be arranged when
booked in advance.
A drop-off and pick-up point for coaches is conveniently
located in South Street, close to the Cathedral.

A CCESSIBILITY
The Cathedral (except the Library and Roof Tours) is
accessible to disabled visitors. A wheelchair is available
if required. A touch model is available for visitors with little
or no sight. Toilets include facilities for disabled visitors.

The Cathedral Roof Tour is a unique experience with
spectacular views of the building and its surroundings.
Visitors to the roof space must be physically fit to cope
with several long flights of narrow winding stairs. Children
visiting the roof must be at least 11 years old and each
child must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Places are limited and can be pre-booked. For details of
tour dates and to book, contact the Visitors Office.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT: Exeter has two main-line rail stations,


Exeter Central and Exeter St. Davids. Exeter Central
Station is a few minutes walk from the Cathedral, whilst
Exeter St Davids Station is further away. Bus services H1
and H2 travel between the city centre and Exeter St
Davids Station. City centre stops for these services are
shown above by
Long-distance coaches and most local bus services stop
at Exeter Bus and Coach station, which is a few minutes
walk from the Cathedral.
