At LA Kick-Start Program we
believe that:
They key to closing the
academic achievement
gap is through a
supportive community.
Excellence in education
and quality teaches can
make a difference.
To provide students with
cognitive and social skills
that will help them enter
school with motivation,
security, and curiosity.
People have the right to
express and practice their
cultural and artistic
heritage

Goal
Through academic
preparation and support youth
of limited access will have a
chance to close the
educational achievement gap.

Our Mission:

Students who get caught in the

educational gap are six times more
likely to drop out of high school
which will cost the nation over 200
billion dollars welfare and health
care cost and increased crime. This
is because students who drop out of
school have a 51% chance of
staying unemployed.

The LA Summer Kick-Start

program mission is to provide
equal educational opportunity.
We believe that all children
and youth regardless of
economic status or race can
receive access to great
education. By providing
students with material and
support, we are providing them
with the opportunity to achieve
a better future.
