American Society for Microbiology Meeting Minutes

Meeting started at 6:05 PM.
President Peter Tracy opened up the meeting announcing that the new ASM T-shirts
have finally arrived. Special thanks to Charlene Garcia for the great design.
Peter invited members to decorate cookies with frosting and sprinkles with microbe and
petri dish designs as we viewed TED talks during this casual meeting.
Former Vice President Andrew Kettering made a guest appearance and announced that
the Dr. Safranek fungal tribute will take place next Thursday at 5 PM. Members are
encouraged to help create a habitat for the fungi we have cultivated at the UCF
Arboretum.
He also mentioned that the bioluminescent bacteria should be ready by the next
meeting for microbe art.

Strange answers to the psychopath test by Jon Ronson
The magnificence of spider silk by Cheryl Hayashi
and Exploring the mind of a killer by Jim Fallon
Meeting ended at around 6:50 PM.
