All work is to be written on paper to be handed in each day at the
end of the period. Each student will be assessed by their daily
progress and depth of effort.

Very Important!!

All ecology notebooks/classwork that are ungraded


must be turned in by Friday into the appropriate purple bin.
Modern Biology texts which are stored in the back of the room are to be used for
these assignments.

Thursday work
1. Read 3-1. Do 3 objectives on page 49.
2. Do # 2,3,5 page 51
3. Copy figure 3-2 , include the caption.
4. Copy figure 3-3, include the caption.
5. Do crossword puzzle. Finish for homework if you need time.

Friday work
1. Read 3-2 . Do 4 objectives on page 52.
2. Do # 4,5,6 page 54
3. Read 3-3. Do 4 objectives p 55
4. Do 3,4,5
5. Draw figure 3-13 . Include the caption. Tracing ok.
6. Include crossword puzzle if you did not turn it in yesterday.

Period 5 Biology
Use Biology books on the rolling cart on the side of the room. Pull out rulers and
colored pencils if students would like to use them for the diagrams.

Thursday/Friday work
1. Read section 2-2 . Do questions 1-5 page 43.
2. Draw Figure 2-7.
3. Do the Applying Concepts found in the caption below Figure 2-7.
4. Explain what Figure 2-8 is showing.
5. Do the Applying Concepts question found in the caption for Figure 2-8.
6. Study Figure 2-9. Explain what it is showing.
7. Do the Applying Concepts question found in the caption for Figure 2-9.
8. Copy Figure 2-10. Pictures not necessary.
9. Do Thinking Visually assignment and create a concept map. A concept map
shows how the words are related. Group them, connect them with lines. Circle
them. Create it so it shows relationships of the words.
