COURSE DESCRIPTION
Discusses the historical, philosophical and legal bases of special
education, the different categories of learners with special needs, and
curricular programs appropriate for early intervention.
II. OBJECTIVES
A. National : To train the nations manpower in the skills and professions
required
for national development for the improvement of life.
B. Regional : To train the regions manpower in the skills and professions
required
for national development for the improvement of life.
C. College : To develop vibrant and dynamic students.
D. Department : To provide relevant and quality programs towards the
attainment
of a well-balanced curriculum.
III. COURSE OBJECTIVES
A. Cognitive:
1. Identify, define, compare, and contrast the different
categories of
Children with Special Needs (CSN) from each other.
B. Psychomotor:
1. Create multimedia presentations about the different topics
in
Special Education.
C. Affective:
1. Develop positive attitudes towards exceptional children
and
youth.
