Support the whole frequency band of PGSM900/EGSM900, high 45MHz frequency band and
low 45MHz frequency band of DCS1800MHz.
The BTS3900E can be deployed with the BSC in the star, chain, and ring networking modes
(the tree networking mode not supported). In the chain and ring networking modes, up to
five cascading levels are supported.

If the frequency is limited, in the scenario that less than or equal to six TRXs are configured in
the cell and two modules are required, the BTS3900E is not recommended.
Frequency hopping capability
If the frequency set meets the restriction of 15 MHz, the baseband frequency hopping
and RF frequency hopping are supported.
For the O7O12 model configured with two modules, if the transmit frequency set
does not meet the restriction of 15 MHz, but meets the restriction of receive 25 MHz,
you can configure the baseband frequency hopping and one frequency hopping
group.
If the frequency set does not meet the restriction of 15 MHz, but the RF frequency
hopping is required, you can configure two frequency hopping groups. Each group
cannot exceed the restriction of 15 MHz.

The BTS3900E has two types of functional modules: AC module and DC module, where the
former supports 110 and 220 V AC power inputs and the latter supports 48 V DC power
input.

The AC surge protection box is used to provide surge protection for AC power, and
the surge protection capability is 15 kA(10/350us) in either differentiated mode or
common mode.

Capacity expansion: the space for mounting another BTS3900E can be left on the
wall. In addition, a maximum of three BTS3900Es can be mounted on the H-shaped
stand.

Capacity expansion: A maximum of three BTS3900Es can be mounted on the H-shaped stand,
which facilitates capacity expansion.
Installation: The BTS3900Es can be mounted on the wall or H-shaped stand.

Installation option:
The BTS3900E can be mounted on the wall or pole.
The APM30 and the BBC or IBBS200T can be installed on the ground in stack mode.
The APM30H and the IBBS200T can be installed on the ground in stack mode.
If the backup power is required to last two hours, the 50 Ah battery pack should be
configured.
If the backup power is required to last four or six hours, the 92 Ah battery pack should be
configured.
Hardware: Three AC-powered BTS3900Es .

The BTS3900E AC(1) works as the basic module. It is connected to another two
extension BTS3900Es through the SFP ports to form a star topology.

The surge protection for the four dry contact inputs are 3000A in differential mode and
5000A in common mode respectively
P-46
One monitoring cable cannot be directly connected to the RS485 and dry contact port of the
monitored device. Therefore, if you want to monitor the RS485 and dry contact at the same
time, the DDF must be configured.

This function solves the coverage and capacity problems that occur when the service traffic
increases slowly, but cannot solve the coverage and capacity problems that occur when the
service traffic suddenly surges. When the service traffic suddenly surges, you can use the
channel all-rate and half-rate conversion to solve the coverage and capacity problems.
After the capacity and coverage automatic optimization algorithm switch is enabled, if the
transmit powers of two TRXs are automatically configured to 20 W and 10 W respectively,
the concentric function is not required.
If the configuration is changed from one TRX to two TRXs, the configuration of one TRX
cannot be restored. The transmit powers of the two TRXs are automatically configured to 20
W and 10 W respectively or 15 W and 15 W respectively based on the threshold value and
actual network conditions.
