The Current Style number plate series was introduced in the UK in 2001. It replaced the Prefix range of number plates. Current Style plates consist of 2 letters, a two digit age identifier and 3 Letters. Unlike Prefix and Suffix plates, Current Style number plates identify not only the year but also the portion of the year.
