THE GREA RUSSIAN SCIENTIST LOMONOSOV

WAS BORN IN THE VILLAGE OF DENISOVCA IN
THE NORTH ON NOVEMBER 19, 1711.He was very
young when he easily mastered reading and writing .The
boy longed for knowledge and at the age of 19 he left his
father home and started on foot for Moscow .From
Moscow he was sent in Germany to complete his
education. He mastered natural science , history,
philosophy and engineering . He had a good knowledge of
foreign languages: german French greek latin . At the age
of 35 Lomonosov was an experienced professor and
academician. He knew that it was useless if theory did not
find practical application and could not serve the good of
his people and his country.
He carried out an extraordinary amounts of useful
educational work in various fields of scientific and
cultural life. He lectured to students and translate the
worcs of various foreign scientists into Russian. He
founded Moscowuniversity, chemical laboratory, the first
glass-making factory etc.
He developed the kinetic theory of gases, the molecular
kinetic theory of heat and first discovered the law of
conservation of matter and momentum. He also found that
light heat and electricity are different forms of moutions.
As a result, many of his discoveries became invaluable
contributions to world science
