The Unknown Citizen

The Unknown Citizen is written by W. H. Auden. This poem is very interesting that I want to argue
with, imagery as his writing style allows readers to see images clearly. In addition, it displays
significant points which I feel that people are common and inclusive to society, and lived for day by
day in order to survive this world. A first evidence from stanza 25, He was married and added five
children to the population, The author is trying to point out that everyone has a different target. For
this example, this character wishes to have a huge family with a wife and five children. To be
emphasised, this is a kind of peoples goal for survival. In a simple word, it is a common goal to all
of us. A second example from stanza one, He was found by the Bureau of Statistics to be In
summation, the government has recorded every single person whom they register for existence
and identification. Thus people in the world are existed in the society due to the legal registry. If the
government do not record your existence properly, you will not officially be regarded to every
organisation and communities. In other words, you are classified as an alien or an illegal citizen.
