Student Union Importance
At the University of North Carolina at Charlotte the Student Union is very important for
life on campus. The Student Union at UNC Charlotte is no different than a student union on any
university campus. The Student Union "provides services and conveniences that members of the
college community need in their daily lives and creates an environment for getting to know and
understand others through formal and informal associations" ("About the Union"). Without the
Student Union interaction between the UNC Charlotte family would not be complete.
The UNC Charlotte Student Union was created for the purpose of interaction between the
people of the university. The Student Union houses things needed for the UNC Charlotte
community and is a place to become familiar with others ("About the Union"). The Student
Union connects the people of the university and makes the community bond stronger.
