12 buttons for attaching the hood and for the band in the front (white)
2 black buttons
Darning needle
Pom Pom Maker (if you have one)

Special Stitches:

Insert your hook


into the front loop only of the next stitch. Now insert your hook into
the front loop only of the next stitch. Be sure to insert your hook from
front to back as you did with the previous stitch. Yarn over (wrap the
yarn around your hook). Pull the strand of yarn through 2 loops on your

With right sides together (sweater and waistband) either sl st together


or use a darning needle and whip stitch the 2 pieces together. Finish
off.

Cuff: MC- Ch 8 loosely, sc in each st across, * ch 1, sc (in back loop
only) across. Turn, repeat * until you have 23 rows. Ch 1, sc evenly
across the top of the cuff. Finish off
With RS together, sl st the cuff to the sweater. With the WS of each
end of the cuff, sl sl to join to finish off. Finish off.
Button band: CC- Starting on RS, starting at the top of the sweater sl st
to join color on the right side of the sweater, ch 1, sc in same st as ch
1, sc evenly down the right side of the sweater. (43sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in same st as ch 1, sc in the next sc 8 sts, *ch
2, sk 2, sc in the next 5 sts, rep from * 3 more times. (43sts)
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in same st as ch 1, sc in the next 4 sts, * 2 sc in
the ch 2 sp, sc in the next 5 sts, rep from * 3 more times, sc in the
last 8 sts. Finish off.

Button Band-CC-Starting on the bottom of the sweater, sl st to join


color on the left side of the sweater, ch 1, sc same as ch 1, sc in each
st evenly up the side of the sweater.(43sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in the same st as join, sc in each stitch. (43sts)
Finish off.
Collar: CC- starting on the RS, sl st color to join, ch 1, sc in same st
as ch 1, sc in each st across. (60sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn, sc in same st as join, sc in each st across. (60sts)
Row 3: ch 1, turn, sc in same st as join, sc in the next 4 sts, *ch 2. Sk
2, sc in the next 5 sts, rep from * 6 more times, sc in the last 5 sts.

Fold the piece in half and sl st in each st across to form hood.
Finish off
With CB- ch 1, sc in same st as jpin, sc in each st across.
With CC- RS sl st color to join, ch 1, sc in same st as join, sc in each
st across.
Adding the buttons: On the collar, I put the button every 1 inch. I
measured from hole to hole. The same for the front of the sweater.
To make the face of the fox, I used The Stitchin Mommys pattern. I
just couldnt come up with a face this cute. The eyes, nose and ears
were used.

For Pom Poms Chain 175. Weave the tie through every sc starting at
the bottom of the hood working your way to the other end. Add pom
poms to the end of the chain after it is weaved through.
