Collatz Conjecture is process in which you take any natural number, either odd or even, and use
it either the expression 3n+1 for odds, and n/2 for evens. I am graphing odd number using the
original expression 3n+1. One of the patterns i found was that for every even number, there is
an odd number that, starting from 1, moves up.
A conjecture is an unproven proposition. The conjecture we concluded was that in this process,
you should always end with a repeating two or one or vice-versa. But, since this is still an
unproven process, this is not always the case. What I learned was how to figure out a even
number (2,4,6,8,0). The role of patterns was to provide us with an expectation as to what will
come next and tell us about the future.
