Prerequiste for RAD 7.5.

Processor: Intel Pentium III 800 MHz or higher recommended
Memory: 1GB RAM minimum; 2GB RAM recommended
Disk Space: 3.5GB minimum for installing Rational Application Developer and addi
tional disk space for development resources (minimum disk space can be reduced i
f optional features and run times are not installed)
Installation Note:
1. Install Java-jre-60
2. Unzip all the Zip files from RAD 7.5 DVD 1 and RAD 7.5 DVD 2
3. Explore First Folder (RAD_Setup) and click launchpad.exe
4. Choose Language 'english'
5. Choose IBM Rational Application Developer for Websphere Software V7.5 (first
option)
6. 'IBM Installation Manager' will be updated and installed
7. After Installation of IBM Inatallation Manager, in the " Install Packages " w
indow you will get the following options:
a. IBM Rational Application developer for Websphere Software
b. IBM Websphere Application Server 6.0 Test Environment
c. IBM Websphere Application Server 6.1 Test Environment
d. IBM Websphere Application Server 7.0 Test Environment
Choose check boxes of a..c..d (RAD, WAS 6.1, WAS 7.0) only and click Next
8. Installation will automatically start
9. Through the Installation ' IBM Installation Manager ' will ask for the follow
ing files
" Disk no: Folder Name > Folder Name > Folder Name "
For RAD Installation:
Disk 1: RAD75_2
Disk 2: RAD75_3
Disk 3: RAD75_4
Disk 4: RAD75_5
Disk 5: RAD75_6
