Welcome to the Holiday Season!

As we enter the second quarter of school and Holiday season, Id like to thank all of the PTSO
parents and volunteers who have helped us get up and running through the first nine weeks of
school! As we enter this quarter of school, marked by holidays and very busy schedules, here are
just a few notes to get us underway:
1) Mastery Now that we have completed our quarter 1 school-wide pieces such as the Math
Toolbox and problem-solving strategies, the Digital Pyramid, Anti-Bullying campaigns, and
have gotten some of our clubs up and running, the focus of Mastery now shifts back to
grade-level specific needs. Starting Nov 4th, students will be receiving an extra 45 minutes
of Math per day on Tuesday, Social studies and science on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and
Clubs and study hall will stay on Fridays. Mondays will stay designated for Text & Lessons
with Mrs. Oakley.

We believe we have all of the websites, parent portals, and planbooks now up and
functioning: if you are still having trouble accessing any of these sites, please notify your
childs teacher or our data manager, Janet Herzog, right away, so that we may work to
correct the problem.
