Novaris Technologies DINsafe signal line protectors

are designed for the effective protection against
lightning induced overvoltages on process control,
telemetry, PLC, telecommunications and information
technology systems.

Versions are available for DIN rail mounting

containing one circuit, two circuits or up to four
circuits and are housed in a rugged metal enclosure
with DIN43880 compliant dimensions.

Operation
Multistage transient protection is utilised in every unit.
Gas filled arresters, as the first stage, absorb the
majority of the energy.
Fine protection consisting of the secondary and tertiary
stages absorb let through energy from the gas arrester.
The secondary metal oxide varistors and tertiary
overvoltage clamping diodes absorb excess energy
resulting in a known and predictable let through
voltage.
These three stages eliminate component stress by
balancing energy absorption between each stage.
Protection is provided for both common mode and
transverse mode disturbances with options for isolated
earth incorporating earth-clamping components.
