Dear Parents and/or Guardians:

My name is Adrienne Preston, and I am in your childs classroom this year with Mrs.
Olding, their permanent teacher. I wanted to take a moment and introduce myself as you may
have seen me during open house but I may not have had a chance to say hello. I am an intern
from Florida Southwestern State College- formerly Edison State. I am in my final semester
before graduation and am very excited for this year!
I was born and raised in Naples, Fl. I graduated Golden Gate High School and was an
active member of the marching band and the choir during those years. I knew I wanted to teach
when I entered second grade and I met a very special teacher. I knew then I wanted to be just like
her. I believe that an education is the second most important experience a child can have, falling
only behind the experiences with family.
I have been student-teaching for nearly three years and have spent time in grades K-3
over this time. I found that I absolutely loved the third grade last year when I spent a semester at
Mirror Lakes Elementary, here in Lehigh Acres. I was absolutely thrilled to find out that I would
be placed in a third grade class again this semester in a school that I had been looking into for a
few years now- G. Weaver Hipps! This truly is a dream come true for me.
