This is the Quadricycle the first car Ford built.

Commentary: Ford completed the Quadricycle on June 4, 1896. He built the car inside his home
and on completion had to knock down a wall to test. It was called the Quadricycle because its
wheels were similar to ones of bicycles. This small car is what lead to Ford Motor Company.

Here is Henry Ford himself testing the race car named the 999.
Commentary: This car along with another called the Arrow were built in 1902 by Ford and a
well know bike racer Tom Cooper. The cars made around 70 to 100 horsepower from a four
cylinder engine with the displacement of 1,155.3 cubic inches. Ford sold his share of the project
after the first test day since it was a failure but gained fame after the cars started to win races.

Here is an advertisement of the Model T from when it was being produced.

Commentary: This example of a Ford Motor Company Add has a lot of things that were trying to
tell a common person back in the day to purchase a Ford. Whether it be the cheap price, the
claim of it being a better car, the discrete claim of it being the universal car in the logo or the
sketch of the car that appealed to most people back then. In a whole ford did a great job
advertising.
