Abstract:The evaluation of the university staff by their students is becoming an imortant issue in the
educational processes. Although, this kind of evaluation was adopted as useful process in the advanced
countries,but have not been imoprtant yet in the arabic countries as an academic tool to evaluate the
performance of the teaching methods and facilities.
In this work, the imoprtance of considering the students evalution to the teaching methods and materials was
)highlighted.1410 student and 33 teaching staff (SUST electrical and electronics Engineering departments
had been quesioned on the teaching methods and teaching materials.The results of the work show:
1. It is almost posssible to coorelate the students and the instructors judgement on teaching methods and
materilas.
2. Senior students are more serious in the evaluation results.
3. Most of the staff considered the students evaluation had help them to identify the weaknesses of the
teaching methods.
4. Some of the weaknesses are not due to the staff themselves.
5. Finaly,some recommendeations are propsed
