My name is Michael Anderson; I'm a Post Bachelor Student of nutrition and Dietetics at the
University of North Florida. I am writing you in regard to the open food bank position you have
posted on the North Florida Food Bank website. Im looking for opportunities around the city to
volunteer and expand my experience in the Nutritional field. If there is no current need for
volunteers in this position, I would be willing to donate my time in another needed capacity.
I take great pride and working in the food industry and think the more experience I have the
better prepared I will being in the dietetic field. I have more than 10 years I have working in the
food industry, where I have held most of the jobs in the restaurant. In 2009, I received my
Bachelors of Food and Nutritional Science at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. During
my time there I had two internships with the United States Department of Agriculture at the
Eastern Regional Research Center in Wyndmoor, Pennsylvania. I was responsible for data entry,
obtaining key research articles, and assisted in experiments that involving food borne illness,
and the shelf life of irradiated food.
