Section 3

I.

Introduction
a. My name is Abby Hansen. Im from Naperville, Illinois which is one of the most boring
suburbs of Chicago we call Naperthrill.
b. Some interests that help define me are horseback riding, cars, and drawing.

II.

Ive been interested in horseback riding since I was little.

a. Been riding for eight years.
i. Trained with Julie at Fox Meadow Farm in Hunter Jumper
ii. English discipline, tested on how well we can ride and jumps
b. Disciplines
i. Much of my knowledge in riding is Hunter Jumper
ii. Took dressage lessons for the past year, moving sideways, moving forward with
shoulders in
iii. Also played polo last winter
iv. Ride western every summer with my Aunt
c. Besides caring for horses I also enjoy working on cars.

III.

Cars
a. Brother
i. Got me interested in cars when I was 14.
ii. Taught me physics, interest in rallycross, drift racing, gymkhana
iii. basics of how they work, and basic maintenance
b. Classes
i. Took an auto-shop class in high school
ii. Took a defensive driving class on a race track, where I also got to drive the track
Practical skills to have, fix brake lights, change oil
c. Another messy project I enjoy art and drawing.

IV.

Drawing
a. Interest
i. Ive been interested in illustrating since I was little
ii. Never wanted to be professional but enjoy it as a hobby
b. Classes
i. Took many art classes in high school
ii. Saw growth in my art in quality
c. Today
i. Continue to practice art
ii. Mostly personal works or for friends

V.

Conclusion

a. What I say defines me is my interests. I like to learn new things and continually progress.
Every hobby I take up changes me in some way.
b. Horseback riding taught me perseverance and to never give up even when I fall.
c. Working on cars taught me passion and a hard work ethic from cut hands and oily arms.
d. Drawing taught me patience and to continue working hard until it is your best.
