NO SCHOOL TUESDAY 11/11/14

School will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 in observance of Veterans Day.
School will resume on Wednesday, November 14th.

CURRICULUM RESOURCES
Thank you for participating in our curriculum meetings and sharing your commitment
to our scholars. In our time together, we reviewed several key facets of our academic
programs and how to use the data provided in the progress report to reinforce the
learning in the home. Attached are some resources that will help you bridge the gap
between our educational reality and our shared goal. Please continue to share your
thoughts and concerns with the instructional team so that we can continue to push our
students safely over the proficiency mark.

MIDDLE SCHOOL FAMILY ASSOCIATION

11/13
Our Middle School Family Association will be hosting their monthly general body
meeting on Thursday, November 13th in the MPR at the East 98th Street campus.
Among other items, this week the Family Association will be discussing our recent
traffic concerns (memo attached) and our safety campaign. The Family Association will
also be celebrating all Breast Cancer Walk participants at this months meeting. All
families are invited to attend.

BENCHMARK EXAMS 11/14/14

Scholars in all grades will take benchmark exams in both ELA and Math on Thursday,
November 13th and Friday, November 14th. Please reach out to your scholars teachers
or dean of instruction with questions about the upcoming exams.
